We guarantee 60MB of RAM for every single Mongrel instance but using more memory is possible, we monitor all the Monit instances and will advice when extra memory for your application is needed.
We support Rails 1.2.x, Rails 2.0.x, Rails 2.1.x, Rails 2.2.x and Rails 2.3.×. Newer versions of Rails are installed as soon as they are available. We can install previous versions of Rails and of course, you are always free to freeze any version of Rails into your application.
We support many gems, if you need a gem that is not available on the server we will be glad to install it… or you can unpack it into your application if you are using Rails 2.1+!
We setup only one database on every Shared account. If you need more than one database please contact us.
Yes, we can assign a dedicated IP address to your site for $3 USD/month and there is a one time setup fee of $15 for setting up your SSL Certificate in your application. You can buy SSL Certificates here.
We offer support around the clock. Emergency issues are usually responded in less than 15 minutes. If your request is not an emergency we will respond as soon as possible, typically within one hour during business hours.
We do daily backups of your database and any file you have out of the SVN repository (like uploaded files through your application) and we do a backup of your SVN repository after every commit.
